Is my deposit refundable if I must cancel?
You must provide a notice of cancellation at least 14 business days prior to your first available pickup date to get a refund. Refunds will be paid by company check within 60 days of cancellation. We understand last minute emergencies can occur and we will work with you, however, during peak season, we often have a waiting list. If the driver calls to come get your car and you tell him that you do not need the service or if you are unreachable, we would keep your deposit. Please allow ample time to cancel so we can fill your spot with another client’s car.
How far in advance should I schedule the transport of my vehicle?
We ask that you call us before booking your flight. We are booking up to six months in advance. If an immediate pick up is necessary; we will do everything possible to get you assigned to one of our carriers. We work with a select few owner operators to help us out during peak season and with last-minute moves. Our owner operator partners provide us with proof of up-to-date insurance and must meet our rating standards.
Is there really such thing as door-to-door service?
Door-to-door service means the truck driver will get as close as he can legally and safely. Many cities have restrictions on large trucks that prohibit them from driving into some residential areas. Transport trucks are 80 ft. long and weigh 80,000lb. They need lots of space to maneuver and turn around. Transporters may be restricted by narrow streets, low-hanging trees, low bridges (downtown Chicago) speed bumps or tight turns. The driver may ask you to meet the truck at a shopping center or large parking area close by. You will be required to meet the driver at a destination like this close to your home.
